Maarten Brinkerink is an expert in digital culture and information processing. He is an experienced project manager, researcher and consultant, working in the cultural heritage sector for over 15 years.

Maarten Brinkerink leverages extensive expertise in digital service design to translate diverse end-user needs at Sound & Vision into precise functional and technical requirements, driving the creation of innovative and successful solutions.
 
Maarten Brinkerink (1983) graduated in 2007 from the master's degree in New Media and Digital Culture at Utrecht University. Six months later he started as project leader for the Open Images project at the R&D department of Sound & Vision. In the beginning, his focus was on open access as a distribution model for digital heritage. Maarten's area of expertise has now been expanded to include knowledge about copyright, crowdsourcing and reuse of digital heritage. He has gained a lot of experience in the mass digitization project Images for the Future and by participating in international research projects.
 
In addition to his work as an IT solution architect at Sound & Vision, Maarten works as a freelancer under the name Digitaal Werktuig.
