The third international EuropeanaTech conference will take place in Rotterdam, Netherlands May 15-16 as part of the European Union Year of Cultural Heritage. Since the tremendous success of the EuropeanaTech 2015 conference it has become increasingly clearer that innovation and R&D are cornerstones for the universal access, enjoyment, sharing and discovery of digital cultural heritage across Europe and the globe.
For almost a decade, Europeana has ushered in and progressed numerous activities pivotal to this work including multilingual access, discovery, enrichment and of course, data modeling. In the 3 years since the last EuropeanaTech event the digital landscape has continued to progress and evolve thanks to the long-term innovative work being conducted by technical and R&D departments around the world. The 2018 conference will focus on the three Ds; Data, Discovery and Delivery.
Within this focus EuropeanaTech 2018 will see a diverse range of presentations from around the globe with keynotes from George Oates (Good Form and Spectacle), Rob Sanderson (Getty) Ruben Verborgh (IDLab) and many more presentations from the technical heritage sector’s leading institutes and minds.
