Preservation
Media are fragile. Whether it involves unique film reels, radio broadcasts, or games, our media heritage will disappear without active preservation. At Beeld & Geluid, we safeguard the national audiovisual collection for the future. We slow the deterioration of fragile material in specialized storage facilities. We protect born-digital media and digitized files in accordance with international standards, such as the Core Trust Seal. Thanks to meticulous content management, sustainable file formats, and rich metadata, our history remains accessible and usable for everyone.
