Linked Open Data
Through Linked Open Data, we connect our media heritage directly to a global, open network. By structuring digital information so that computers can understand its meaning, collections become significantly more discoverable and enriched with valuable context. We use our thesaurus, the Common Thesaurus for Audiovisual Archives (GTAA), as a smart intermediary layer. Using unique, persistent web links, we connect our data to external sources such as Wikidata. In doing so, we transform our archive from a static repository into a dynamic information resource for researchers and media professionals.
