In Europeana Media, an Enhanced Unified Playout Service (EUPS) is developed that offers heritage institutions a qualitative and user-friendly media player for playing and reusing video and audio content.
With the EUPS, Europeana Media wants to improve the attractiveness, visibility and interaction with European audiovisual heritage and stimulate research and reuse. The EUPS will therefore offer functionalities that help researchers, teachers and other users to make Europeana's audiovisual content more accessible for (re)use in their own work, such as citation of video clips, support for subtitling and media embedding.
Europeana Media is cofinanced by the Connecting Europe Facility of the Europese Union.
