Knowledge at Sound and Vision
The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision initiates research that facilitates open and searchable audiovisual heritage. We follow relevant innovations in audiovisual archiving, participate in research projects and experiment with new technology. We share gained knowledge and experience in national and international expert networks. Our mission is making the collection available to everyone: general public, broadcasting professionals, creative industries, education and science. Online and in our museum.
Innovation and research
The Research and Innovation Agenda of Sound and Vision (2015-2020) is part of the multiannual plan. In the coming years the agenda will focus on research and knowledge gathering in the Humanities and our four main areas of innovation: Preservation, Metadata and Context, Users and Access.
