The R&D department (together with other knowledge institutions if necessary) also initiates research that serves as a basis for internal consultancy.






Sound and Vision's Research and Development department develops programmes to make audiovisual heritage open and searchable.

It follows relevant developments in audio-visual archiving closely by participating in national and international research projects, by building a network of experts and by gathering experience with new technologies.
